5 Bars To Check Out In Tualatin

Portland, Oregon has some of the most unique and creative breweries and cocktail bars that you can find. But more often than not, they are also expensive and overcrowded.

While it’s to be expected in a major city, not everyone wants to venture downtown to only find themselves elbowing their way through a crowd for an overpriced and watered-down cocktail.

Fortunately for those in Tualatin and the surrounding area, there are several bars and places in town to get a drink for a reasonable price and with a fun and even low key atmosphere. You don’t have to be in the city to have a good time with a drink and a meal.

Tualatin Station Bar & Grill

Tualatin Station has a bit of something for everyone. They have the games playing on the TVs for the sports fans, the drinks for those wanting a cocktail, and food for the people craving a burger and wings.

This bar is the place to be for those wanting a drink and a place to chill with friends or family. It’s a lively atmosphere without being packed and loud.

We also can’t be the only ones that love going to the bars but get hungry quickly. Tualatin Station has a menu stuffed to the brim with incredible dishes. The Bacon Blue Cheese Mac is dangerously addicting and you’ll finish the horseradish burger without ever setting it down.

Tualatin Station is the kind of place that feels like your secret weapon to show your friends when they ask for bar recommendations. It’s sure to be a new favorite spot for you to go to.

Izumi Japanese Steakhouse

Now hear us out, we know this isn’t a bar. But their sake list is so great you’ll just find yourself going back there for drinks.

For those that haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy sake yet, it is a Japanese alcoholic beverage. The drink is made from the fermentation of rice, the name actually translates to “rice wine,” but is similar to beer when it comes to the actual production process.

Like both beer and wine, sake can be brewed to reflect many different flavors. At Izumi some of our favorites include Heavenly Water which has notes of melon and apple, Plum Blossom which evokes rose and white peach, and Rising Dragon which is savory and slightly spicy.

While we’re at it, we might as well mention that they are a hibachi grill. So not only can you try out any of their 25 sake offerings, but also you can enjoy a meal that is cooked right in front of your eyes!

The experience will be so fun you’ll want to take your friends here the first chance you get.

Ancestry Brewing

This is the place for any desiring a traditional brewery experience as opposed to cocktails.

Ancestry Brewing is one of Oregon's many breweries but they have now trouble standing out amongst the rest. Their Tualatin location has a tap list full of unique craft beers. Light or Heavy, Sour or Malty, they have beers suited for every type of beer enthusiast.

If you’re like us, you have a hard time picking just one or two beers to try. Just like any great brewery they offer flights so that you can try out as many beers as is safe and reasonable.

Also their food is stellar, just like their beer. Whether you want a juicy burger, a crazy good sandwich, or their famous Sweet Corn Nuggets, they have the food to go with the beer belly you’re bound to get.

The CI Bar & Grill

If you and your friends or a date want to have a memorable night out, The CI Bar & Grill has you covered.

They have live music and karaoke, do we really need to say more? It’s the classic bar fun that everyone seeks out. Whether you want to see your friends absolutely butcher a song or watch professionals perform for your entertainment, this place provides both.

With a mixture of American and Mexican cuisine, CI has the food, drinks, and entertainment to make any night a blast.

Oh did we mention they serve breakfast all day? This place is truly like nowhere you’ve been before. You can enjoy a plate of pancakes with your gin & tonic while you watch your friends try to make their way through a performance of Livin’ on a Prayer.

The breakfast is actually so good you’ll find yourself headed back in the mornings for the benedict instead of the beer.
